The course of Trento Half Marathon develops on a single tour entirely in the urban area of ​​the city of Trento. As the valley floor of the Adige River is wide, the race course is not rough, the only ascent is 300m long with a slope of 2%, the rest of the track has imperceptible slopes. The route is therefore particularly fast and suitable for those who want a chronometric check in accordance with their physical form.

Trento Half Marathon 2024 Regulation

With the request to register to the competition the athlete declares that he has read and fully accepts these regulations for participation in the XIIth Trento Half Marathon.

With the registration to the competition the athlete declares to have read and fully accepted the following rules.

A.S.D. Città di Trento organizes the 12th edition of Trento Half Marathon over the distance of Km 21,097 certified by FIDAL/AIMS. The race is included in the international calendars of:

• AIMS
• FIDAL.

It will take place Sunday October 6nd 2024, with meeting point at 9:00 and start at 10:00 in Piazza Dante and finish line in Piazza Duomo.

PARTECIPATION REQUIREMENTS:

ATHLETES REGISTERED IN ITALY

Are allowed to partecipate all the athletes italian or foreigners, limited to the people over the age of 18 (whole year of 18th birthday) with one of the following requirement:

• Athletes affiliated to a club member of FIDAL for the year 2024.
1. Atlethes in possession of a Runcard (valid as sportive insurance and permission to compete), limited to people age 20 and over. Partecipation is hovewer subject to producing a medical certificate stating of specific fitness for athletics, valid at the time of the race, which have to be delivered (also digitally) to the organizers.
2. Athletes with Runcard EPS (Entities Sport Promotion). The partecipation is hovewer subject to producing a medical certificate stating of specific fitness for athletics, valid at the time of the race,which have to be delivered (also digitally) to the organizers. The medical certificate for foreigners not residents in Italy can be issued in the country of origin but must be performed the same tests required by the italian law: a) medical ceckup; b) full urine exam; c) electrocardiogram at rest and after stress; d) spirography.

ATHLETES NOT REGISTERED IN ITALY

Are allowed to partecipate the athletes foreigners, limited to the person over the age of 18 (whole year of 18th birthday) with one of the following requisites:

• Athletes member of a club affiliated to a foreign Athletic Federation recognised by WA. Alternatively to the card they must to produce a self certification of being in possession of a membership card recognised by WA, the self certification must be signed as original at the bib collection. ATHLETES FOREIGNERS NOT REGISTERED IN ITALY – SPORT TOURISM” PARTICIPATION

As part of the competitive event, might be authorized the participation, only for foreign citizens not registered to their federation, in the non-competitive section tourist/sportive, As specified in the note of Ministery della Health of 17/06/2015 relative to the Decreto of Ministery of Health of 08/08/2014, foreign citizens haven’t obbligation to exhibit a medical certificate, but have to subscrive a liability waiver form in favour of the organizers. The ranking of this partecipants will be collocated in separate list, in alphabetical order and won’t be elegible for prizes in value or in kind, bonuses, payments or reimbursement of expenses of any kind.

REGISTRATION CLOSURE
Online entries will be closed at midnight of Octobger 3 2024 at 12:00 pm. Entries received after that deadline will be no accepted. Regarding to mail subscriptions postal stamp date will be taken in account. A.S.D. Città di Trento reserves itself the right to close entries before or accept entries after the deadline at its unappeable will.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
It will be possible to verify your entry on-line on the website CLICK HERE. Confirmation letters, with the assigned bib number, will be sent by e-mail when administrative procedure will be compelted. (5days before the race). We suggest to provide your e-mail address in clear and readable way. Athlets that for any reason won’t receive a confirmation letter can obtain one at the bib collection office. At any moment it will be possible to check your subscription Clicking https://api.endu.net/r/cl/87258) on the race and than on “verifica iscrizione”.

REGISTRATION CONVALIDATION
No entry will be accepted withouth a the aprtecipation fee, copy of federation membership card or medical certificate, or with incomplete address and informations. To determinate the payment fee will be used the date of the proof of payment.

FEES REIMBURSEMENT
Fees are not refundable for any reason. Hovewer two option will be offered to the regsitered athlete unable to take part to the competition. Transfer the entry fee to another person. It’s possible to transfer the entry fee to another person requesting it before and not after September 23 2024, paying an additional fee of € 10,00 for administratives fees. The substitute have to provide all personal  information about the federal registration or the medical certificate.Transfer the entry in Trento Half Marathon 2024 to 2025 edition. Comunicating the impossibility to partecipate before and not after September 23th 2024, paying an additional fee of € 10,00 for administrtives fees.The fee will be considered valid for Trento Half Marathon 2025. PARKING AND DIRECTIONS
During the day of the event partecipants will be allowed to park their car in the area named “Sanseverino Park. It will be necessary to expose the form downloadable from the website of the event starting from september 29h 2024. Directions to reach the event’s location and the parking form can be found in the page:

BIBS
To determinate the seeding on the starting line will be considerate the declared best performance time, that will be checked. The best performance time provided with the entry form must be relative to half marathons certificates performed not before the year 2022. Once the bib number is assigned it’s no longer possible to change.

Race bib is strictly personal, it can’t be modified or reduced in size nor given to any other, this action will lead to disqualification.

COLLECTION OF RACE GIFT PACKAGE
The athletes that submitted their entry regulary can collect the bib and race gift package in Trento reporting themself with a valid identification document at the competition EXPO center the days Friday October 4 2024 from 17.00 to 19.00; Saturday October 5 2024 from dalle 10 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 19:00 and only for residents outside the province of Trento Sunday 1st of October from 7.00 to 9.00. Bibs and gift packages can be collected also by third parties, with written proxy letter from the delegator and a photocopy of a valid identification document. In case an athlete is unable to provided the missing documentation he will not be able to collect the bib whuch will not be refunded and will be allowed to collect only the gift package.

SEEDING
There will be 4 starting sectors based on the declared time during registration. (time actually performed in half marathon during the two years prior to the race also 2022) Starting sectors will be organized as it follows:

• 1st sector: Elite Athletes
• 2nd sector: Athletes and Master Athletes up to 1:19:59
• 3rd sector: Master Athletes from 1:20:00 up to 1:34:59
• 4th sector: Master Athletes from 1:35:00 and over.

BAGS STORAGE
Toghether with the bib will be delivered a blue bag and an adhesive label showing your race number to be applied in clearly visible way on the same bag. The bag must contain only the runners’ personal clothing to be used to change after the race and will be the only container accepted by the organization, it will be collected, guarded and given back at the end of the race in the area marked as “DEPOSITO BORSE ATLETI” set in piazza Duomo. We advise to not leave personal belonges (cellphones, wallets, etc) inside the bags. The organization even if having good care of the items collected, cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage.

TIMING
Timing service will be provided by TDS – TIMING DATA SERVICE SRL. Measurement of time and rankings elaboration will be accomplished by a system based on an active transponder (“chip”). It’s forbidden to tamper chip. Athlets that in any way will damage the “chip” won’t appear in the rankings. For any athlete will be recorded: the gun official time (from the start shooting), the neat time (from the moment the start line is crossed to the finish line), and some intermediate passage. The “chip” will not be recollected and it’s disposable. More information about the timing service will be published on the internet website www.trentorunningfestival.it in the weeks before the race.

MAXIMUM TIME
The time limit to finish the Trento Half Marathon is set at 3 hours after which the organization doesn’t that the route will be closed to traffic.

REFRESHMENTS AND SPONGES
According to WA/FIDAL rules, refreshments are after the finish line and along the course every 5 kilometers. In all the refreshment areas will be provided water. In addition starting from Km 10 will be available supplements. The sponging areas will be at km 7,5 at 12,5 at 17,5.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
The organizing commettee will provide an adeguate medical assistance on the route and at the start and finish lines.

PACEMAKERS
The organizing commettee will provide groups of pacemaker, athlets tasked to run the Trento Half Marathon a constant pace in order to arrive on the finish line in a specific time. There will be pacemaker recognisable by the special clothing and air balloons setting the pace for finishing the race in: 1 hour and 30 minutes, 1 hour and 35 minutes, 1 hour and 40 minutes, 1 hour and 45 minutes, 1 hour and 50 minutes, 1 hour and 55 minutes, 2 hours, 2 hours and 15 minutes.

FINISH AREA
After the finish line athletes will be lined in corridors in order to to receive the medal and reach the refreshments.

RESULTS AND RANKINGS
Final Rankings will be convalidated by the Delegate Tecnical Judge or by the Appeal Judge. Intermediate and final times will be available in real time on the website www.tds-live.com. It will be possible to download the participation certificate directly from the website www.tds-live.com

PRICEGIVING CEREMONY
Prizegiving ceremony will take place after the race at 13:00. Will be awarded a prize to the best 5 men and the best 5 women in the absolute category and also the best 5 italian men and the best 5 italian women.

Will be awarded prizes in kind the best 3 partecipant in each Male Master Category (SM35, SM40, SM45, SM50, SM55, SM60, SM65, SM70 and over) e and the best 3 partecipant in each Female Master Category (SF35, SF40, SF45, SF50, SF55, SF60, SF65, SF70 and over). Prizes in kind will be given exclusively during the official prize giving ceremony.

Athletes that for any reason might not show up at the official prizegiving ceremony the day of the race, will be exluded by the money prizes payments (excluded serious medical issues certified by the medical staff at the finish). Prizes are set according to IAAF and FIDAL’s laws and regulations.

Prizes, for both italian and foreigner athletes will be payed according to the laws regulating amateur athletes. No prize will be payed the day of the race. Prizes will be payed within 2 months from the event day and after possible drug tests. Additional details will be provided on the website www.trentorunningfestival.it

ATHLETE’S RESPONSIBILITEIS
With entry submission the athlet is responsible of the titolarity and care of the race bib.It’s forbidden to tamper in any way with it. To the athletes that will cut, reduce in size and/or hide the brands printed on the bib, will not given the eventual prize won even if it might be a monetary prize.

1. Anyone partecipating without submitting entry or without a regular bib, in addition to be considered responsible for any damage to things or people, himself included, might face sportive sanctions under the jurisdiction fo the federal branches and might be charged with the penal sanctions according to the felony of “theft” as described in the (art. 624. c.p.).
2. Whoever, without submimtting regular entry, partecipate with a counterfeited bib or that doesn’t conform with the one provided by the organization, in addition to what stated before, will face the sportive sanctions and might be charged with the felony of theft (art. 624. c.p.), or, as alternaitve, with the felony of fraud (art. 640 c.p).

In cases a) and b) participants can be sanctioned for the misdeminor of “inosservanza dei provvedimenti delle Autorità” (art. 650 c.p.).Actions will be taken just if photografic or video proof will be provided.

COMPLAINTS
Eventual complaints must be presented within 30’ since the exposure of the rankings firstly verbally to the finish line Judge and secondly in written form to the Appeal Judge, accompanied with a fee of 100,00 euro, that will be refunded in case the motion is accepted. For everything not explicitly stated in this statute we please refer to the FIDAL’s/WA rules. The Competition Judges Group will disuqalify partecipants that won’t pass through checkpoints located along the course.

DECLARATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
With the entry submission the partecipant declares to know and respect the rules of partecipation for the TRENTO HALF MARATHON published on the internet website www.trentorunningfestival.it, according to the rules of WA and FIDAL. Partecipation to the TRENTO HALF MARATHON 2023 and/or to sportive events in general is potenitally an hazardous activity. the partecipants also declares having submitted volountarely the entry and to assume all the risks derived by the partecipations to the event such as but not only: falls, contacts with vehicles, with other partecipants, viewers, weather conditions, included extreme hotness, coldness and humidity, traffic and conditions of the roads, any kind of risk known. The partecipant declares also to be aware of what stated earlier, considering the entry submission the athlete frees from any responsibility the organizing commettee of the TRENTO HALF MARATHON, A.S.D., Città di Trento, from all the present and future complaints, known or unknown, derivated by the partecipation to the event.

PRIVACY LAWS AND REGULATIONS
According to the article 13 of D.L.vo 30 june 2003, n.196 we inform that:

1. all the datas provided with the entry form are required for the partecipation in order to prepare the starting list, the rankings the hystorical archive, to provide the services declared in the competition rules and to send informative materials about TRENTO HALF MARATHON  and informative and commercial comunications from it’s partners;
2. that the lack of the informations required will cause the exclusion from the event;
3. that the right of the partecipant about the treatment of this datas are specified in the article 7 of D.L.vo n. 196/03. In any moment the partecipant has the ability to read, edit, or delete free of charge his own datas writing to the responsible at A.S.D. Città di Trento

RIGHTS OF IMAGE
Submitting the entry to the TRENTO HALF MARATHON, the athlete authorizes the ASD Città di Trento, to recorder, with televisive, cinematographic, fotographic or other means, the image of the partecipant during his partecipation to the TRENTO HALF MARATHON and to confirm with this declaration the authorization to the A.S.D. Città di Trento to record, reproduce, print, publish, and broadcast and in any way use through any mean known or that will be invented in the future without time limitations of any kind and in any way to give commercial and institutional partners the rights of using the images for promotional purposes. The athlete declares also to not ask A.S.D. Città di Trento and/or its affilliated compensation, being any complaints by the athlete satisfied by the partecipation in the event.

RACE CANCELLATION
In case the race is cancelled and/or not performed for reasons not under control and/or imputable to the will of the organizing commettee, included the suppression of the authorizations by the local governament authorities, the partecipant won’t have any claim to A.S.D. Città di Trento, not even as reparation for the expences for travel or accomodation as submitting the entry form values as waiver to ny claims of reimbursment of the damge and/or compensation and or any claim of reintegration and/or satisfaction of any eventual monetary prejudice suffered or to be suffered.

VARIATIONS
The organization commettee reservs itself the right of modify this rules in any moment, not before comunication and approval with the Regional Commettee and National FIDAL, about the modifications to the rules of F.I.D.A.L. and for reasons intended to improve the organization of the event. Modification of time scheduling, of the servivces and locations will be comunicated to the athlets on the confirmation letter and in addition on the website www.trentorunningfestival.it

OTHER ISSUES
For anithing not included in this statute please refer to the specific laws and regulations in place on the subject. The Race Judges Group has the power of disqualify athletes that won’t pass through checkpoints located on the course. The organizating comettee reserves itself the right to change in any given moment any provision in this competition rules due to force majeure. The race will take place on a course completely pavemented, closed to vehicular traffic. Participant are not allowed to tamper reduce or cover the simbols on race bibs, this will be sanctioned with disqualification. All partecipants have the obbligation to respect the traffic rules. It’s forbidden to be accompanied by bycicles or unauthorized persons.
